Nestled outside Winchester Auto Barn, Jacques Custard serves freshly ground coffees alongside a tempting array of pastries, toasted sandwiches, cakes, and savoury treats — the perfect stop for a quick pick-me-up or a relaxing bite on the go.
Our coffee van, Jacques, opened in January 2021 and quickly became a local favourite. Its welcoming atmosphere and quality coffee attracted everyone — from those waiting for an MOT, to visitors browsing the showroom, or anyone simply looking to enjoy a great cup of coffee and a bite to eat.
Jacques’ convenient location, ample parking, and fantastic selection of food and drinks have all contributed to its ongoing success and popularity.
Winchester Coffee Roasters is a passionate, independent coffee company dedicated to sourcing and roasting exceptional coffees from around the world. Founded in 2013, the roastery combines craftsmanship and curiosity to bring out the best in every bean. Each coffee is carefully selected from sustainable farms across the coffee belt, then small-batch roasted by hand in Winchester to highlight its unique flavour, aroma, and origin.

The selection of homemade food available at Jacques really is quite special. Most notably of all are the handful of toasties to choose from, whether that’s the cheese and tomato veggie option, the undefeated ham and mustard one, or the new salted beef with pickled cabbage choice, they are all definitely worth the try.
If a toastie isn’t something you want, there are also some of the freshest sausage rolls you’ve ever had, as well as delicious chicken and avocado wraps. If this isn’t enough for you, Helen and Anna, our wonderful baristas on the van, also sell a couple of their homemade baked treats such as millionaire shortbreads, flapjacks, and chocolate tiffin.
All we’ll say is you’ll have to try them out yourselves to understand how good they are.
Helen is our wonderful baker/barista on our coffee van, Jacques. Since we got our coffee van up and running in January 2021, Helen has been serving toasties, croissants and coffees, and has been that friendly face greeting the wide variety of people that visit us every day. In her spare time, Helen enjoys tennis and baking the delicious goods that you can dig in to at Jacques.
Anna is a friendly and energetic barista who helps Helen run Jacques. She greets every customer with a warm smile and remembers their usual orders. Anna keeps the van running smoothly, from brewing perfect cappuccinos to managing supplies. Her enthusiasm and care make Jacques a welcoming stop for everyone’s daily caffeine fix.
