We are enthusiastic about cars from the 60’s to the 80’s. We want the garage to be driven more by passion and mutual interest rather than a hard-commercial edge.
It is very much a work in progress but the ultimate goal is to create a comfortable, nostalgic and laidback destination in the Winchester area whether you are getting an MOT, having your Merc serviced, seeking advice, looking to buy a classic car or just want to hang around other ‘petrol-heads’.
“Cars have always been my passion, so this is a dream come true – to further develop a long-established garage into a local destination for like-minded people to relax and enjoy cars”

driving new levels of service
The most important thing to us is that our customers feel welcome, enjoy their time at the garage and receive a first-class value-for-money service.
The ethos of the business, as our mission statement says, is to maintain old-fashioned values in a customer and service orientated local business.
Tony has worked at the garage for over fourteen years. He has progressed his way up to front of house at the Auto Barn and manages the Servicing, Repairs and MOT department with great efficiency. He’s known for his accommodating nature.
Paul has been with the garage for over twenty years and is an experienced mechanic who specialises particularly in Mercedes Benz and in vehicle diagnostics. He is also the MOT manager. He likes a cake (or two…!)
Danny brings over forty years mechanical experience to the team and specialises in Classic Car maintenance. Danny is a local chap who ran Chilbolton Auto Repairs for over thirty years before joining the Auto Barn. There’s not a lot about classic cars you can teach Danny.
Rich is our MOT Tester and Servicing Technician and has over fourteen years’ experience at the garage. He’s also very versatile and works to a high standard even when DJ’ing at weekends.
Gemma is our Marketing and PR guru who specialise in Social Media. She is also our event organiser and co-ordinates the Breakfast Club and Auto Fest gatherings. She did a particularly fine job in organising the wine and cheese tent at Auto Fest in the summer.
Malcolm is constantly very busy keeping the garage in order and customers happy. If he’s not delivering, collecting, cleaning or polishing customers or cars he’s keeping the workshop and showroom ship shape.
